A court in Ukraine has started hearing the case of two Russian nationals captured during fighting in the east. The prosecutors demand life sentence for the captives, saying they were plain-clothes soldiers tasked with carrying out sabotage activities in Donetsk. The defendants, however, argue they were off-duty servicemen acting as volunteer forces in the conflict region. Our Kiev correspondent Lena Savchuk has a report on their first trial session.
