Vienna book fair to showcase works by Iran, Italy graphic designers

Iranian graphic designer Abdolkarim Mousavi and Italian artist Paolo Dalponte are set to hold a joint exhibition in the Austrian capital.

The two artists will showcase their works at the 2015 edition of Vienna International Book Fair.

Mousavi is one of the most successful Iranian graphic artists, who has works in different artistic categories. 

He has won the first award of the 9th Contemporary Iranian Graphic Design Biennial.

Paolo Dalponte is an award-winning illustrator, cartoonist and painter, who creates most of his works in black and white.

The 57-year-old artist studied at Trento National Institute of Applied Arts and started painting in 1973. He has won numerous national and international awards and served as a juror in art events held in Italy and abroad.

Dalponte has held numerous solo exhibitions in different countries, including the Check Republic, Austria, Turkey, Luxembourg, France and Belgium.

This year’s Vienna International Book Fair Iran will also present books by 20 Iranian publishers, including more than 100 children’s book titles translated into French, German and English.

The book fair will run from November 12 to 15.
