Iranian film to compete at Jaipur Intl. Film Festival

Iranian filmmaker Sadeq Sadeq-Daqiqi’s ‘Until Ahmad Arrives’ will go on screen at the 8th Jaipur International Film Festival in India.

Sadeq-Daqiqi’s production will take part in the event’s main competition section.

‘Until Ahmad Arrives’ recounts the story of a family living on the southern Iranian island of Khark, who begins to search for their son, Ahmad, following a military operation during the Iraq-Iran war in 1986.

The feature-length production was also screened during the 33rd edition of the Tehran International Fajr Film Festival. It will hit Iranian screens on November 25, 2015.

The Jaipur International Film Festival is an annual event aimed at promoting new filmmakers, exchange of knowledge, and cooperation through the medium of films and documentaries. 

The 8th edition of the festival will be held from January 2-6, 2016, screening more than 1800 films from over 100 countries.

The event will also hold various workshops and seminars, hosting veteran filmmakers and screen writers from India and other countries.
