Syrian army liberates more villages in Aleppo

The Syrian army has continued its operations against Takfiri terrorists across the country, liberating more villages in the northern province of Aleppo.

According to a Syrian military source, a unit of the army in cooperation with pro-government forces managed to establish control over the villages of al-Amara and Tallit al-Mahdia in the southwestern countryside of Aleppo on Friday, Syria’s official news agency, SANA, reported.

The Syrian forces reportedly inflicted heavy losses on the Takfiri militants in the villages.

Reports also said earlier in the day that the Syrian forces took control of the villages of al -Huweiz and al-Qarasi in the southwestern countryside of Aleppo after eliminating the last terrorists’ gatherings in the area.

A unit of the Syrian army Air Force also bombed a gathering of the Daesh Takfiri group in Tabara al-Sakhana and the area surrounding Tal Maragha in the countryside of Aleppo.

It was reported that the Syrian forces managed to destroy as many as 19 positions of terrorists in Aleppo.

Media reports said on Thursday that Syrian government troops captured five villages in their latest advances in the province of Aleppo.

According to the so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the commander of a foreign-backed militant group was killed in clashes in the southern suburb of the city of Aleppo.

The Syrian Air Force launched airstrikes against the positions of the al-Qaeda-linked al-Nusra Front in the town of Tirmaala and Jawalik,north of the city of Homs, destroying terrorists’ positions along with all the weapons and ammunition stored in them.

The Syrian Air Force also targeted the positions of terrorists in the area of al-Rastan, around 22 kilometers north of Homs, and in the areas of al-Ghanto and Talbiseh, located some 12 kilometers north of the city.

In the province of Hama, the Syrian armed forces also launched operations against terrorists, destroying seven training center and 31 depots belonging to the terrorists near the area of Sahl al-Qalib.

Syrian forces also conducted successful operations in the provinces of Sweida and Dara’a, inflicting heavy losses on terrorists.

The foreign-sponsored conflict in Syria, which flared in March 2011, has claimed the lives of more than 250,000 people and left over one million injured, according to the United Nations.
