Iran's judiciary forms special committee to look into Mina tragedy

Iran’s judiciary has formed a special committee to probe the Mina tragedy that has led to the death of hundreds of Iranian pilgrims.

Iran’s judiciary spokesman hopes the international community and human rights organizations will also help bring the perpetrators to justice. Mohseni Ejei stressed that the judiciary has been following up the incident from day one. He said some of the pilgrims who have returned home have filed lawsuits against Riyadh. More pilgrims are expected to do the same in the coming days. At least 465 Iranian pilgrims died on September 24, in the deadly stampede in Mina, on the outskirts of the Holy City of Mecca.
