Daesh hiding military equipment near mosque: Russian drone video

A drone footage screenshot released by the Russian Defense Ministry on October 6, 2015, shows Daesh Takfiri terrorists transporting military hardware to the vicinity of a mosque.

Drone footage released by the Russian Defense Ministry shows Daesh Takfiri terrorists relocating military hardware to the vicinity of a mosque to save the equipment from airstrikes.

"As a rule the militants place armored vehicles close to mosques knowing very well that we would never target them (mosques)," said a statement released by the Defense Ministry on Tuesday.

The footage shows the terrorists making efforts to move their weapons into residential areas next to a mosque.

Russian Deputy Defense Minister Anatoly Antonov noted that “knowing our respect to mosques” the Takfiris know Russia would never “under any circumstances strike a non-military facility.”

The ministry also said that the terrorists might be deliberately preparing provocations such as “blowing up mosques” in order to create fake video footage and pictures which could be used to frame the Russian air force.

The statement also noted that Russian fighter jets had carried out raids against 12 Takfiri targets in Syria during around 20 sorties in the last 24 hours.

On September 30, Russia began its military campaign against terrorists operating in Syria upon a request from the Damascus government.
