2 killed, 6 injured in attack on Saudi bank: Reports

Police forces arrive at the scene of an attack on a bank in the Saudi port city of Jizan on October 6, 2015.

At least two people have been killed and six others injured after an armed man attacked a bank in the southwestern part of Saudi Arabia, reports say.

According to media reports, the attack took place on Tuesday on a branch office of Al-Rajhi bank in the port city of Jizan.

Following the assault, security forces blocked all roads leading to the area and surrounded the bank building.

The manager of the bank and one of its employees were killed in the raid.

Saudi security forces captured the assailant inside the bank.

Saudi media have not mentioned any motive for the deadly attack.

The attack comes as Saudi Arabia has focused its military might on carrying out a deadly aggression against its impoverished southern neighbor, Yemen, since March.
