1. The US and NATO have voiced concerns over what they call Russia's incursion into the Turkish airspace. Turkish foreign ministry summoned Russian ambassador to protest the issue. Russia has admitted that it violated the Turkish airspace but described it as accidental and the result of bad weather.

2. Russia’s Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matvi-yenko has ruled out deployment of ground troops to Syria. Matvi-yenko said Moscow does not want to be dragged into the Syrian crisis for long. Russia has been conducting air raids against positions of Daesh terrorists in Syria since last week.

3. Syrian Tourism Minister Bisher Yazigi has called on the international community to take measures to stop Daesh terrorists from destroying the ruins of Palmyra. The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization has also condemned the destruction of ancient monuments in the Syrian city.

4. UN Chief Ban Ki-moon has urged Iran to use its influence to reach a peaceful resolution to the crisis in Syria. In a meeting with Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in New York, Ban reiterated that there is no military solution to Syria's unrest.

5. Head of Iran's Hajj mission Ali Ghazi Askar has blamed Saudi Arabia’s mismanagement for the deadly stampede. Ghazi Askar also slammed Saudi officials for their slow response to the tragedy. The Hajj mission will stay in Saudi Arabia to determine the fate of all missing Iranian pilgrims.

6. Saudi warplanes have targeted the Yemeni provinces of Ta'izz and Sa'ada causing further destruction in the impoverished country. In response to Saudi aggression, Ansarullah fighters and allied army units destroyed a Saudi military surveillance tower in Asir region. Some 64-hundred people have been killed since the beginning of Riyadh’s onslaught against Yemen.

7. In Afghanistan, at least three people have been injured in clashes between security forces and gunmen in the capital. The clashes erupted after a number of bombs went off near the country’s parliament and the Russian Embassy in Kabul. The Taliban have claimed responsibility for the bombings.

8. Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip have staged a protest rally to condemn Israel’s raids on the al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem al-Quds. Earlier on Monday clashes broke out between Israeli forces and Palestinians outraged over Israel's killing of a 13-year-old Palestinian boy in Bethlehem city.
