Spain third EU country to accept most refugees

As the worst refugee crisis since World War II unfolds in Europe, Spain becomes the third EU country to accept the most refugees, after Germany and France. The country will grant asylum to 17,000 refugees despite Madrid's previously held rhetoric of not having capacity to accept more refugees due to economic hardships and soaring unemployment rates.
