Bernie Sanders supporter of Israel, military–industrial complex: Activist

Bernie Sanders “is a proud supporter of the US military–industrial complex and a proud supporter of Israel’s violent displacement of Palestinians,” said Mickey Z.

US Senator and Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders is a strong supporter of the American military–industrial complex as well as Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territories, a human rights activist and political commentator in New York City says.

Sanders “is a proud supporter of the US military–industrial complex and a proud supporter of Israel’s violent displacement of Palestinians,” said Mickey Z., who is also a writer, editor and blogger.

“He’s a man who said that if he were elected, he’d continue the drone [assassination] program,” Mickey Z. told Press TV on Thursday.

“And perhaps most importantly, Sanders has also declared that he’ll support whatever nominee the Democratic Party puts forth, which most likely will be the war criminal, Hillary Clinton,” he added.

The independent senator from Vermont has surged in the latest opinion polls, closing in on the Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton.

Sanders’ emphasis on US income inequality and influence of corporate money on elections and government has helped him attract large crowds on the campaign trail.

However, some observers say he is not sincere and is exploiting the rhetoric of the Occupy Wall Street movement that protests against social and economic inequality in order to appeal to more voters and enhance the Democratic Party’s image.

“Every four years I watch smart people fall to these Democratic lies,” Mickey Z. said. “Sanders, like others before him…is there to energize and mobilize new voters and deliver them to the Democrats doorstep.”

“The Democratic Party is one wing of a violent, global enterprise built upon a foundation of patriarchy, white supremacy and capitalism,” the author of the Occupy This Book.
