Astonishing that UK is rolling red carpet for war criminal: Analyst

Press TV has interviewed Jafar Ramini, an author and political analyst in London, to discuss an anti-Netanyahu petition in the UK.

The following is a rough transcription of the interview.

Press TV: There is sure a lot of significance to this petition and the number of signatures that it has garnered. Give us your opinion on what is taking place.

Ramini: The petition has been going on for a while and we were all hoping that it will exceed the limit [inaudible] required for the Parliament to discuss it and it did and we are very gratified that it did.

For your information and that of your viewers and every British citizen or resident of London who is watching this, we have arranged a big demonstration that is coming Wednesday the 9th at 11 o’clock in White Hall to protest the visit of this war criminal.

It is absolutely unbelievable that the British government would allow a war criminal like Netanyahu to be allowed into this country let alone roll out the red carpet.

This man, since his being in power, has undertaken or ordered three genocidal attacks on Gaza. In 2008, they killed 1,400 Palestinians; in 2012, they killed 1,200 Palestinians; in 2014, they killed over 2,200 Palestinians.

Yet our prime minister seems fit to invite a criminal into London, with a very faint or weak excuse that he is the head of a government and as such has immunity.
