US zoo shows off a Fossa’s balancing skills
A cat-like animal has been showing off its balancing skills while hunting for food on top of a large ball at a zoo in the US.
Workers at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo filled the ball with treats for the female Fossa to imitate what searching for food in the wild is like. The creature managed to perch delicately on top of the ball as it tried to get its hands on the treats. The animal appeared to look very much in control as she used her long tail to help her stay balanced. Fossas are cat-like carnivores that originate from Madagascar and are closely related to the Mongoose.
