Israel plans to give its soldiers free hand to shoot at young Palestinian stone-throwers

Israel is planning to give its soldiers more authority to shoot at young Palestinian stone throwers.
The announcement has been made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office. Netanyahu has been quoted as saying at a cabinet meeting that his policy is of zero tolerance toward stone-throwing and what he calls terror. The potential new policy has been criticized by a member of the Palestine Liberation Organization's Executive Committee. Wasel Abu Youssef says the plan is part of Israel’s criminal policy to kill Palestinians, adding that it would lead to more escalation, killings and crimes against Palestinians. The Israeli Knesset in July imposed up to 20 year sentences for those throwing rocks at vehicles.
