The former Israeli foreign minister has criticized Tel Aviv regime’s policies toward Palestinian detainees who go on hunger strike to protest their administrative detention.
Avigdor Lieberman says Israel should let the hunger-striking detainees die in prison. Lieberman believes Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu acted weakly in handling the case of Palestinian prisoner Mohammed Allaan . Israel’s High Court has nullified the administrative detention of Allaan. According to the ruling, Allaan will remain in hospital and there'll be no restrictions on relatives visiting him. The 31-year-old detainee refused to eat for over two months in protest at his detention without charge or trial. Palestinians in Israeli prisons regularly go on hunger strike to protest their administrative detention and medical negligence.
