Pro-reform protests continue to sweep through Iraqi cities

Another Friday and another wave of pro-reform protests sweeping through Iraqi cities: This week’s rallies were the largest so far following calls by senior Shia Cleric Muqtada al-Sadr on his followers for a million-man participation in the Friday demonstrations. This is while the representative of Iraq’s supreme religious authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Sistani, warned of attempts to hijack the demonstrations.
