British teenager pleads guilty to two terror charges

Manchester’s Magistrates' court

A British teenager has pleaded guilty to two terror charges.

The 16-year-old girl from Manchester admitted in the city's Magistrate court holding recipes for explosive and a bomb making guide.

Police arrested the girl who was not named back in April after an investigation by an anti-terrorism unit. The investigation also led to the arrest of a 14-year-old boy in Blackburn in Lancashire who admitted being involved in plotting to attack police in Australia.

According to police, the two teenagers exchanged more than two thousand messages via phone one day before being arrested.

Manchester’s Magistrates' court said there was no evidence proving that the girl was aware or played any part in the Australia plot.
