Over 30 Saudi rockets hit Razih district in Yemen

Yemen

Saudi Arabia intensifies its ground and aerial bombardment of Yemen despite a self-declared ceasefire.

In the latest assaults, Saudis launched dozens of rockets on Razih district in the province of Sa'ada. This follows earlier airstrikes on the province. In Yemen’s south, Saudi warplanes hit the province of Aden killing at least four people. In retaliation, Ansarullah fighters fired a barrage of rockets into Saudi territory. The projectiles hit two military bases in the south of the oil-rich kingdom. Meanwhile, al-Qaeda militants ambushed two checkpoints run by the Yemeni army in the northeastern Hadhramaut province, killing six people and wounding dozens of others. Nearly 4,900 Yemenis, mostly civilians, have lost their lives since Saudi Arabia began its onslaught against the poorest Arab country in late March.
