A researcher holds an adult tooth dating back around 560,000 years discovered by a volunteer archaeologist in the Arago cave near the village of Tautavel, one of the world

Archaeologists are always looking for new discoveries. This time, they have come across an ancient tooth which is believed to be nearly 560-thousand years old

The tooth was found by two young archaeologists at the famous Arago cave in southwestern France. They were actually doing volunteer work and were helping excavate the cave when they discovered the human tooth. It’s believed to be the oldest human body part ever discovered in the country and could provide information about early human settlement of Europe. Experts still can’t figure out if the tooth belongs to a male or a female. But further analysis will help them find more details about it. Besides this latest finding, thousands of other fossils, including prehistoric tools and animal bones, have been found at the site.
