Israeli military forces have destroyed stores belonging to Palestinians and detained a number of teenagers in the occupied East al-Quds (Jerusalem).

According to local media reports, Israeli military bulldozers on Tuesday demolished at least four stores in the Silwan neighborhood of East al-Quds.

The stores, which belonged to Khalil al-Abbasi and Iyad al-Abbasi, were destroyed early in the morning, the reports said, adding that the bulldozers were backed by Israeli forces.

Khalil al-Abbasi said the Israeli troops ransacked stores and threw out everything, stressing that the shops were the only source of income for his family.

In a separate development in the occupied East al-Quds, Israeli forces detained six Palestinian teenagers from the town of Issawiya.

Amjad Abu Asab, the head of a local committee representing families of jailed Palestinians, said Israeli forces ransacked houses in the town before detaining the teenagers.

On Monday night, Israeli forces assaulted a 15-year-old Palestinian boy in the al-Saadiyyeh neighborhood of East al-Quds. After his brief detention, the boy had multiple bruises.
