Kurdish sources in Syria say Turkish tanks have pounded their positions in two villages in the province of Aleppo. They say the Turkish army is conducting attacks against their positions instead of targeting ISIL-held areas. The Syrian Kurds have urged Ankara to stop what they call its aggression. A Turkish government official has, however, denied the attacks, saying Syrian Kurds’ positions remain outside the scope of Ankara’s ongoing military action. Rahshan Saglam reports from Istanbul.
