Yemeni troops backed by popular committees have destroyed a Saudi army tower in a retaliatory attack on the kingdom’s southwest.

Yemeni forces destroyed the Saudi army installation in the Jizan region, Yemeni TV channel al-Masirah reported on Sunday.

Missile attacks were also launched on a Saudi base in the southwestern Najran region.

Yemeni troops carry out such attacks in retaliation for Riyadh’s relentless onslaught on the impoverished Arab nation.

Earlier on Sunday, over 30 people were killed and many more were injured after Saudi warplanes conducted multiple raids on the northwestern Sa’ada province and the western Ibb province.

According to reports, most of the victims of the heinous attack were women and children.

Two civilians were also killed as Saudi forces commenced shelling on the city of Haradh in the northwestern Hajjah province.

Saudi Arabia began a military campaign against Yemen on March 26 – without a UN mandate – in a attempt to undermine the Ansarullah movement and to restore power to fugitive former president, Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi.

Based on UN figures, over 3,261 people have been killed, 1,670 of whom were civilians in the Saudi onslaught.
