"UK systems highly tinted with colonialism"

UK systems are highly tinted with colonialism , an analysts told Press TV.

UK economic and political systems are highly tinted with colonialism deeply rooted in the country’s history an expert told Press TV.

Societal Affairs Analyst and Social Justice Practitioner Explo Nani-kofi referred to the recent investigation into racist views of UK police officers saying because of the colonialist history of the UK, people in the country see themselves as superior to other nations.

A UK police investigation says many police officers have used a secret online forum to express their racist views about ethnic groups. The investigation has sparked a hot debate in the UK about the police brutality.

He went on emphasizing the racist views are not limited to police noting that both the economic and political systems in the UK are deeply tinted with such views.

“The problem of racist police is part of a machinery of control. To this end, UK is using a mechanism to control the society. The mechanism include racism, prejudice and Islamophobia,” said the analyst.

Nani-Kofi then referred to the social consequences of the racism among UK police adding minority groups and ethnic communities are paying the price of the institutionalized racism by being targeted without charges.
