Voting for Clinton means voting for Israel: Analyst

Grossman said Clinton is willing to work closely with Republicans, who are opposed to the isolation of Israel.

International lawyer Barry Grossman believes that voting for presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton means voting for “the Israeli hard right and the US war machine.”

Grossman made the remarks in an interview with Press TV on Tuesday when asked about Clinton’s letter to Democratic donor Haim Saban and Jewish organization leaders.

In her letter, she criticized growing anti-Israeli movements in the US, saying the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign wants to “isolate and delegitimize Israel.”

“I know you agree that we need to make countering BDS a priority” and to “fight back against further attempts to isolate and delegitimize Israel,” she wrote.

Grossman said the letter shows that “she is willing to work closely with Republicans like Lindsey Graham, Bob Corker, Rand Paul, John McCain, Marco Rubio, and Tom Cotton, as well as AIPAC, the Israeli government, and any other Zionists who are opposed to the isolation of Israel.”

He also said that Clinton’s letter indicates “she is opposed to any use of International law or the international system which the United States is so committed to imposing on all other nations, to hold Israel responsible for its crimes. In other words, she has declared her opposition to the rule-of-law itself, in that she clearly considers that both the US and Israel are too exceptional to be bound by the niceties of international law.”

It is “clear that a vote for Hillary Clinton is a vote for the Israeli hard right and the US war machine,” he said, noting “it also indicates that by making prior unqualified commitments on US policy in return for large sums of money and media support, Hillary Clinton is now incapable of honoring the oath of office which any president must take before stepping into the oval office.”
