1. At least 50 people have been killed in Saudi airstrikes in southern Yemeni province of Lahij. Over 50 people also died in attacks on the northern city of Amran. More than 45-hundred Yemenis have been killed in the Saudi onslaught which began in March.

2. Yemen's Ansarullah fighters and popular committees have fired retaliatory rockets into Saudi Arabia’s Najran and Jizan regions. Over the past few weeks, Ansarullah fighters have launched multiple missile attacks on Saudi Arabia. Some of the missiles hit targets deep inside of Saudi territory.

3. Representatives from the International Atomic Energy Agency have held talks with Iranian officials in Tehran. The Spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Behrouz Kamalvandi said the negotiations focused on the understanding reached by Iran and the IAEA chief Yukiya Amano during his recent trip to Tehran.

4. Chicago police chief calls for stricter gun laws in the US after 10 people were killed in gun-related violence in the city over the weekend. Garry McCarthy said the fatal shootings happened despite a 30 percent increase in police patrols. A seven-year-old-boy was among the victims.

5. Greece’s new finance minister has pledged to aim for a sustainable solution to the country's debt crisis. Euclid Tsaka-lotos also hailed his predecessor, and promised to follow in his footsteps. Tsaka-lotos added that Athens wants to continue talks with its international creditors.

6. Pro-Russia groups in Ukraine's eastern breakaway regions have accused Kiev of failing to meet its obligations under the Minsk truce deal. At a press conference in Moscow officials in the breakaway regions say Europe needs to pressure Ukraine to implement the

7. Negotiations between Iran and the P5+1 in Vienna have entered Tuesday, which is the deadline for a comprehensive nuclear deal. The two sides have held marathon talks to resolve disagreements ahead of the deadline. The White House has refused to rule out another extension of the talks.

8. The Syrian army is pressing ahead with its offensive against ISIL terrorists, flushing them out of their hideouts in north-eastern city of Hasakah. The army also managed to regain control over several strategic districts in central Hama province following an operation against the Takfiri terrorists.
