A man in Germany has literally acted upon a court order to give his ex-wife half of his assets following their divorce by bisecting a number of his properties, including his car, bike, TV, and cell phone, with power tools.

In an apparent bid to publicize the case and his interpretation of the court order, the unidentified individual, who goes by the name of “Der Juli” online, posted a YouTube video for his purported former wife thanking her for “12 beautiful years” together and stating that she had “earned” half of their household despite accusing her of being unfaithful, RT reported Saturday.

The video footage shows the man meticulously sawing in half an iPhone, a flat-screen television, household furniture, and even an Opel Corsa automobile.

According to the report, he is now auctioning off his half of the properties on the online e-commerce site eBay. A total of 16 items are offered for sale.

Each item has a humorous though disgruntled description. The car, for instance, is said to be well-preserved for its age, but have signs of wear, “in particular, half is missing".

One of the items is half a motorcycle helmet, which, “Der Juli” boasts, offers good visibility on the right side. The semi-protective gear is on the head of a tanned man, who appears to be in his 40s, his eyes painted over to make recognition difficult.

It is not yet clear, however, whether the divorce case is true or merely a hoax. The online video footage has scored over 3.3 million views since it was posted on Tuesday.

In 2008, a 76-year-old Serbian farmer, married for 45 years, used a grinding machine to saw in half his farm equipment and machinery to comply with a court order to split the household goods with his former spouse.
