Fresh clashes claims 7 lives in eastern Ukraine

Ukraine

At least seven people, including two children, have lost their lives in the violence in eastern Ukraine since Wednesday evening.

Officials from the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic say three women and two kids were killed after shells hit a residential bloc in the city of Gorlovka. Four children were injured in shelling of other residential buildings and a water filtering station in Donetsk region. One of them is in critical condition. The Ukrainian government accuses pro-Russians of launching the attacks, but the militia groups have denied the claims. Elsewhere in the army’s conflict zone in east, two soldiers were killed and 13 others injured in clashes with pro-Russia militias.
