London has hosted separate anti-austerity rallies.

Thousands of people took part in the protests in the capital to express their anger over further planned cuts to welfare, the scrapping of the Human Rights Act and discrimination against the Islamic community.

On Wednesday thousands of people took to the streets of London and other cities to protest against government's plans for the next five years.
