Palestine drops FIFA vote to expel Israel after winning concessions

The surprisingly-timed corruption scandal at the FIFA summit has overshadowed a long-awaited vote on expelling Israel from football’s international body. The vote was ultimately called off at the request of Palestine, but only after winning some concessions.
