1 Saudi airstrikes have killed at least one Yemeni and wounded several in Hajjah province. Elsewhere in the capital Sana’a, Saudi fighter jets targeted a house. The warplanes also hit a mosque, a government complex and a central market in Malahid directorate in Sa’ada province.

2 In Yemen, Ansarullah fighters, backed by tribesmen and allied army units, have shelled a Saudi military camp in the border town of Najran. Two Saudi officers and several soldiers were killed in the retaliatory attack. Several military vehicles were also destroyed in the shelling.

3 Jaish al-Fatah terrorist group has reportedly seized Ariha in Syria's northeastern province of Idlib. The so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says the terrorist group captured the city after fierce clashes with Syrian forces. Ariha is the last government-held city in Idlib province which borders Turkey.

4 Supporters of the Palestinian resistance group, Islamic Jihad, hold a sit-in protest in the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah in solidarity with jailed prominent figure Sheikh Khader Adnan. The prisoner is on an open ended hunger strike in protest at the third extension of his administrative detention by the Israeli regime.

5 FIFA President Sepp Blatter says the latest scandal in FIFA has brought shame and humiliation on football. He made the comments during the 65th FIFA Congress while trying to distance himself from the corruption case in the world football body. This comes as calls grow for him to step down.

6 The head of the International Monetary Fund says a Greek exit from the eurozone is a possibility. Christine Lagarde says such a move will not signify an end to the single currency. The IMF chief also rejected Athens’ assertion that a deal with its international lenders to unlock bailout funds is imminent.
