Iran FM urges P5+1 to respect Lausanne mutual understanding

Iran

Iran has called on the  P5+1 group of countries to respect the Lausanne mutual understanding on the country’s nuclear program.

Zarif made the comments during a joint press conference with his Greek counterpart Nikos Kotzias in Athens. The Iranian top diplomat and U-S Secretary of State John Kerry are to meet in Geneva on Saturday to discuss a possible final nuclear deal. Deputy-level talks on drafting a comprehensive deal are already underway between Iran and the P5+1 group in Vienna. Tehran demands a simultaneous lifting of sanctions once a possible comprehensive deal is put into effect. It also rules out any inspections of its military sites.
