‘Tories plan not to fulfill One Nation idea’

Observers say the program of the Conservative government will put pressure on certain social groups.

As the all-out Conservative government of Prime Minister David Cameron insists that its “One Nation” Program is aimed at supporting working people, experts say the bills of the program will put more pressures on the Britons’ lives.

 The program includes:

-A freeze on working age benefits, tax credits and child benefit for two years from 2016/17

-Cutting the total amount one household can claim in benefits from £26,000 to £23,000

-A ban on so-called legal highs

-A ban on income tax, VAT and national insurance increases for five years

Experts say the program is just aimed at protecting the interest of some certain groups in power.

“It seems a nasty attack on people in the society. It removes the housing benefits the help that people get with housing costs and the young people will face harsher conditions under the program,” London-based Journalist and Political Commentator Chris Babmery told Press TV.

He went on noting that if the elderly and ill people will bear the burden of the program adding, a review of the Cameron government’s plan show that it has not taken into account the problems and needs of these two social groups.

Bambery noted that immigration is another main point in the plan and the government’s approach towards this issue reveals that it is of secondary importance for the government.

“When we see all these together, we reach to this conclusion that the program has nothing to do with the idea of One Nation,” the commentator said.
