Tension high in Turkey ahead of general elections

Tensions are rising in Turkey as the country is bracing for critical parliamentary elections in early June. Turkish media have come under attack drawing criticism from the European Parliament. In addition, the pro-Kurdish Peace and Democracy Party has consistently come under attack, the latest of which were twin bombings at party offices in the cities of Adana and Mersin earlier this week.
