Iraqi army, volunteer forces repel ISIL terrorists attack in Anbar

The Iraqi army backed by Sunni volunteers has repelled an attack by the ISIL Takfiri terrorists on a town in Western Anbar province.

The terrorists were pushed back from the town of Khaldiya which is located between Fallujah and provincial capital Ramadi which are under the terrorists’ control now. A local source said no troop or tribesman was killed in the clashes. Meanwhile, government forces and local tribesmen are massed around Ramadi preparing to liberate the city. The army has also sent more reinforcements to a military camp near the city.The ISIL terrorists took control of Ramadi over the weekend. Nearly 25,000 people have fled from the city in the past few days.
