Hezbollah ‘fighting CIA-created ISIL’: US analyst

The Lebanese resistance movement of Hezbollah is fighting terrorists created by the US Central Intelligence Agency, says an American political analyst.

Hezbollah is fighting “the terrorists, the real terrorists, who the CIA created, ISIS [ISIL] terrorists,” Dean Henderson told Press TV on Sunday.

Earlier this week, the US House of Representatives imposed new sanctions against Hezbollah.

American lawmakers are mad because the ISIL terrorists are suffering major losses by the resistance in Syria and Lebanon, Henderson said.

He added that the move was not surprising because the House of Representatives “is one of the craziest assemblies of right-wing fanatics that we have on the planet right now.”

“That’s what happens when money talks and all these people in Congress are beholden to big oil interests that control the resources of that region. They are making stuff up,” he emphasized.

Henderson also noted that Hezbollah is a force that the US should be coordinating with to get rid of terrorists in the Middle East.

Hezbollah was founded in the 1980s following the Israeli invasion and occupation of southern Lebanon.

The ISIL terrorists currently control parts of Syria and Iraq. They have carried out heinous crimes in the two countries, including mass executions and beheadings of people.

Since 2011, when the militancy began in Syria and later spread to neighboring Iraq, Western countries and their regional allies, such as Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey have been giving financial, logistical and military support to the militant groups.

Hezbollah has been making considerable gains against terrorists in Syria, something that has angered Israel, the US, and their Arab allies in the region.
