Press TV has interviewed Eric Draitser, founder of stopimerialism.com from New York, and Mohammed Qubaty, ex-member of Yemen National Dialog Council from London, to discuss the ongoing Saudi war on Yemen.

Draitser says the notion that the Houthis have no right to respond the Saudi bombing campaign seems absolutely “outrageous” because all international laws guarantee self-defense and retaliation in the face of foreign aggressors.

Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi was installed as president of Yemen with the support of the Al Saud regime and the US, he states, adding that the fugitive former leader’s legitimacy was entirely fabricated by Riyadh and Washington.

The commentator adds that Saudi rulers, backed by the US, are pursuing a geopolitical game to maintain their hegemony in the region through re-installing the puppet government in Yemen.

Referring to the clashes in Aden, Draitser argues Aden is a haven for the Saudi-backed elements operating to restore Hadi to power.

Meanwhile, Qubaty, believes the Saudis have intervened in Yemen to help resolve the political crisis in the country but now they see the situation is going “out of control.”
