German train drivers go on their eighth round of strikes

The German train drivers union has announced the eighth round of strikes in the past eight months. With 138 hours of strike, this is the longest walkout in the history of Deutsche Bahn. An ongoing dispute over payment and negotiation rights threatens to escalate.
