Nepal's Prime Minister says the death toll from Saturday's devastating earthquake could reach ten-thousand.
Sushil Koirala has ordered intensified rescue efforts and asked for foreign supplies of tents and medicine. Meanwhile, a UN report shows that Nepal’s most intense earthquake has affected eight million people and that over one-point-four million are in desperate need of food and water. The death toll from the seven-point-eight magnitude quake has climbed past four-thousand three-hundred and-fifty. Hundreds of thousands of Nepalese are sleeping out in tents. Rescue workers are struggling to recover bodies from the rubble. Over 8-thousand people have been injured. Also, more than one-hundred have been confirmed dead in neighboring China, India and Bangladesh. Nepal's government has declared three days of mourning.
