1. Farmers in northwestern Morocco are stepping up efforts to create more strawberry fields in an attempt to boost the economy. Exports for the red fruit are forecast to grow, as the fifth annual festival dedicated to strawberries is taking place. Organizers of the strawberry event say the festival benefits the region at all levels, as well as farmers and investors. 

2. An international team of vets has been called in to help treat a number of sick animals at the South Jungle Zoo in Gaza. Members of the animal welfare organization, Four Paws, have to deal with dozens of sick and starving animals. 

3. Hot air balloon festivals have a knack for coloring the skies, which is why hundreds of people have gathered for such an event in a small Mexican town. 

4. Thousands of people have gathered in the Peruvian capital Lima in an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the QUOTE largest cahon ensemble. Organizers say more than 2-thousand people, including families, children and army reserves attended the eighth International Festival of the Peruvian Cahon. 

5. More than 5-hundred posters, pictures and artifacts from the Second World War era have been brought together for a major exhibition in the German capital Berlin. The event at the German Historical Museum focuses on the aftermath of World War Two and marks the 70th anniversary of Victory in Europe back in 1945.

6. Officials in the Chinese capital Beijing say the number of citizens trying to get a license plate for electric cars has hit a record high. Citizens planning to buy new cars in Beijing have to get number plates through a monthly plate lottery.
