Press TV has interviewed Brent Budowsky, a columnist with the Hill newspaper in Washington, and Tony Gosling, an investigative journalist from Bristol, to discuss the dispatch of US special forces to Ukraine.
Gosling says the dispatch of British and American troops to Ukraine is a move to “sabotage the Minsk Agreement,” because the US and Britain did not play a role in the Minsk talks. The Minsk Agreement is a package of measures to alleviate war in the Donbass region of Ukraine.
Both American and British governments were kept out from the Minsk Agreement because they were not seen as honest peace brokers, he says, adding that back in March, 75 British troops went to Ukraine to train military forces there and now 300 US paratroopers are to train Ukrainian troops.
The major issue is an attempt to keep Russians out of the Black Sea, the analyst says, noting that the Russian Black Sea fleet is capable of pacifying the US in eastern Mediterranean and foiling their plots for the Middle East.
Gosling also argues that the problem of the Ukrainian military forces is that they are not siding with the right party because they are serving the Kiev regime, who did nothing regarding three political killings in recent weeks.
Budowsky, for his part, says the US military advisers try to stabilize the military and security situation in Ukraine, concluding that every party involved in the Ukrainian crisis needs to do something to “lower the tensions” in eastern Ukraine.
