UN: Over 90,000 people have recently fled Ramadi, 3 nearby villages

The United Nations says ISIL’s advance in Iraq’s Anbar province and fierce fighting have forced tens of thousands of people to flee the region.
According to the UN Humanitarian Agency, more than 90-thousand people have fled the provincial capital Ramadi and three nearby villages over the past days. The U-N humanitarian coordinator for Iraq says humanitarian agencies are trying to provide assistance to the displaced people. Most of those who fled Anbar are heading for the Iraqi capital Baghdad and the ISIL-held city of Fallujah. On Saturday, the Iraqi army backed by volunteers launched an operation to stop ISIL from further advancing into Ramadi. The terrorist group has been making inroads near Ramadi since last week
