US language of threat against Iran disgusting: Academic
Press TV has conducted an interview with Seyyed Mohammad Marandi, a professor at the University of Tehran, to discuss Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei’s recent remarks about the US.
Marandi says that the US fails to realize how “disgusting” its rhetoric of threatening Iran with military strikes is. The political system in the United States is very “aggressive,” “biased” and sometimes even “barbaric” toward other nations, he says.
Iranians ignore the threats of a military attack because the United States will never be capable of attacking Iran, he adds.
The US is a diminishing power, and Ayatollah Khamenei is in fact reminding Washington of who Iranians really are, Marandi says.
Finally, the university professor slams Washington for invading countries like Iraq and supporting the Saudi war on Yemen while the whole world is witnessing how innocent lives are being taken in the Arab country.
