The majority of Iranian lawmakers have called on the Foreign Ministry to release Tehran’s version of fact sheet on the mutual understanding reached between Iran and the P5+1 in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Javad Karimi Qodosi, who is a member of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, said Sunday that some 212 legislators have issued a statement, urging the immediate release of Iran’s fact sheet by the Foreign Ministry.

The publication of an Iranian fact sheet will prevent the West from distorting and taking advantage of the details of the Lausanne negotiations, added the Iranian lawmaker.

At the end of eight days of intensive nuclear negotiations in Lausanne on April 2, Iran and the P5+1 states – Russia, China, France, Britain, the US and Germany – issued a joint statement, saying that no Iranian nuclear facility will be shut down or suspended and all sanctions against the Islamic Republic will be lifted.

Less than 24 hours after Iran and the P5+1 reached the mutual understanding over Tehran's nuclear program, the US published its own fact sheet detailing the parameters for the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). The sheet, however, had differences with the original joint statement.

While the agreed plan predicts a 10-year framework of action, the White House fact sheet says uranium enrichment at Iran’s Fordow facility would stop for at least 15 years.

EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini (L) and Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif clap after issuing a joint statement at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne on April 2, 2015.

Although Iran has reiterated that all sanctions have to be lifted simultaneously as soon as the final deal comes into force, the US edition indicates that the architecture of nuclear-related sanctions will be retained for much of the duration of the deal.

The US fact sheet also says the bans will be also snapped back into place in the event of any non-performance. It adds that the UN Security Council could re-impose all previous sanctions in case the issue of non-performance cannot be resolved through negotiations.

Iran has rejected the official piece of document published by the White House, saying it contains wrong interpretations on the issue of sanctions relief.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said last week  that Tehran would not sign any final nuclear accord unless “all economic sanctions are totally lifted” on the first day of the implementation of the deal.
