Iran’s nuclear achievements historical: Commentator

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani (L) standing next to Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Ali Akbar Salehi unveils a nuclear achievement, Tehran, April 9, 2015.

Press TV has conducted an interview with Kaveh Afrasiabi, a political commentator from Boston, to discuss Iran’s recent nuclear achievements and the prospect of a final nuclear accord between Iran and the P5+1 group.

Afrasiabi hailed Tehran’s recent achievements in the field of nuclear energy as a “historical” success for the Iranian nation, which proves the country’s determination to make further progress.

No one can deprive Iranians of their nuclear rights, stressed the analyst, expressing optimism that Iran and the P5+1 could reach a comprehensive nuclear deal before the self-designated end-of-June deadline.

He added that the western negotiators should be more transparent about how and when the nuclear-related sanctions against Iran are to be removed because a phased lifting of the bans is not acceptable to the Iranian negotiators.
