On March 26, Saudi Arabia started an air campaign in Yemen in a bid to restore power to fugitive former Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.
President Barack Obama has expressed his support for the assault on the people of Yemen one day after the airstrikes began.
Hadi stepped down in January and refused to reconsider the decision despite calls by Ansarullah revolutionaries.
He fled Aden to the Saudi capital Riyadh after Ansarullah fighters advanced toward the southern Yemeni city, where he had sought to set up a rival power base, and where he withdrew his resignation.
