Once the site of over 20 murders daily, Juarez City is today struggling to overcome its terrible past.

Juarez City, a town of just one and a half million people, was once the site of eleven percent of the total murders in Mexico.

In 2009-11, the city was the most dangerous place in the world with over 200 murders per 100,000 residents annually.

Today, the authorities claim the city is on the mend, but has the brutal fallout from the cartel wars really improved?

In this edition of InFocus, we meet with locals and authorities in Juarez City to get their views on how cartel wars have changed their hometown.
