Israel, US backers irked by BDS movement: Analyst

An analyst says the anti-BDS bill introduced by US lawmakers shows the activities of the pro-Palestinian movement has truly irked Israel and its American backers.

Press TV has conducted an interview with Alison Weir, the executive director of “If Americans Knew” from California, to share her thoughts about a bill introduced by two US Republican lawmakers to confront the rising tide of Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel.

Weir believes that such measures by American senators reveal that the BDS movement has been successful in causing concern among the Israeli officials and their backers in the US.

The analyst highlighted a widening rift between the US administration and the Israeli regime, adding that it is uncertain whether the anti-BDS bill would manage to garner enough support among the Democrats in the Congress like in the past.
