US turned into ‘most despised nation’ due to Washington’s policies

Fetzer says the US has turned from the most admired nation into the most despised country.

American philosopher James Fetzer says the United States has turned from the "most admired and respected nation" into the "most reviled and despised" country due to Washington’s policies.

“It’s a tragic legacy and for that we have to thank the central intelligence agencies, the neocons at the Department of Defense, and of course last but by no means least the Mossad because Israel was a driving force between all of these events that have led us to such a calamity today,” the philosopher told Press TV on Wednesday.

He made the comments when asked about the US counterterrorism strategy in Yemen.

Analysts believe that the current chaos in Yemen is the result of Washington’s failed policies.

“The collapse of the US alleged counterterrorism effort in Yemen is only the latest indication of the abject failure of US foreign policy throughout the Middle East which of course was initiated by the false flag attack on New York City and the Pentagon on 9/11,” Fetzer said.

He also described the United States as “the world’s greatest aggressor nation.”

On Wednesday, Saudi Arabian Ambassador to the US Adel al-Jubeir announced that Saudi Arabia and a coalition of regional allies launched a military operation in Yemen.

He also said Riyadh had consultations with the US before the beginning of the operation.

Meanwhile, the White House in a statement pledged Washington’s logistical and intelligence support to the military campaign.
