Press TV has conducted an interview with Issa Amro, a peace activist based in al-Khalil (Hebron), to discuss Israel’s boycotting of the UN Human Rights Council.

Amro says the Israeli massacre of more than two thousand people in the Gaza Strip is one of the regime’s numerous war crimes and Tel Aviv must be held responsible according to the international law.

The peace activist added that several months into the summer 2014 Israeli war on Gaza, the siege is still firmly in place and as a result the life conditions for the Palestinians have only worsened. By cutting off clean water and electricity, Amro says, Israel is still violating the most basic human rights of the Palestinian people.

Concluding his statements, Amro said that boycotting the UN Human Rights Council by Israel comes as no surprise since this is not the first time Tel Aviv resorts to such measures. He said that Israel commits these crimes without any regard for international organizations and therefore Palestinians want the regime to be brought into justice by the UN.
