The US criminal ‘justice’ system - A tool of repression

US Attorney General Eric Holder delivers remarks about the Justice Department's findings related to two investigations in Ferguson, Missouri, at the Robert F. Kennedy Department of Justice Building March 4, 2015 in Washington, DC.

The recent release of the US Justice Department’s report on the city of Ferguson, Missouri Police Department by Attorney General Eric Holder begs the question, are the practices outlined in the Justice Department Report “the exception to the rule” as to police in America or are the abhorrent practices cited in the “Ferguson Report” pervasive and demonstrate systematic repression by police in the United States.

Despite the glowing pleasantries that are constantly hammered into the collective conscience of low-information Americans by various US media outlets about “democracy”, “American Exceptionalism”, “The Shining City on the Hill” and “Every American can be anything they want to be”, the fact is the United States has long been on a path to a dictatorship since 1945.  The United States has transformed from the ideals of its 1776 founders to being a corporatist oligarchy in 2015 where the combined economic and political power elite, dominated by Zionists and Jewish Activists, use official institutions to exercise terror on the population.

US elections have long been fraudulent and are specifically designed to prevent change with clever “ballot access laws” and other regulations designed to assure only the right candidates can participate, those candidates vetted by and approved by the political and economic elite. Americans have more choices when it comes to shoes than they do political choices, thus America’s political system is very controlled and planned.

Nowhere is “institutional terror” more evident than in the so-called American “criminal justice system”, where both police and the judicial system have an incestuous relationship.  Over the last 15 years the number of citizens killed by US law enforcement has grown substantially every year, and not all are criminals and that number does not take into account routine beatings and “mistakes” such as “legal” home invasions by the police at the wrong address resulting in the death(s) of the residents. In 2015 the number US citizens killed by police will exceed 500, and over 400 will be termed “justifiable homicides”, meaning the “system” will investigate itself and declare police officers, many who have committed multiple questionable killings,  justified.

Meanwhile the amount of civil monetary judgments paid by various units of governments on behalf of their police departments will increase, as a mere “cost of doing business” (killing).  Police misconduct claims in New York City, including excessive force lawsuits, have risen over 200% since 2000, while the amount New York City has paid out has risen 75 percent in that same period. New York City paid (its taxpayers) paid $64.4 million in fiscal year 2012 as a result of its Police killing its citizens. Then there’s the August, 2014 report from the CDC that documented 4,531 citizen or civilian deaths by police from 1999 to 2011.

Prior to Ferguson, the US Justice Department had ignored this Report.  Interestingly it is much easier to find the number of police killed per year and in- line-of-duty deaths rose from 105 to 121 last year, and of those 50 were killed by gun or assault, but they also sometimes shoot each other which is counted as in-the-line as well by many police depts.  For police, stupidity pays as in many cases police officers receive handsome disability awards in such cases and the police officer shooter remains on the job.  In fact over 95 percent of Police officers who engage in bad conduct, including assault and murder remain on the job. Police unions and Associations in the United States who say “If you do not support the police officers… then you are supporting thugs and criminals”, sound the same as George Bush’s, “If you are with the terrorists then you are against us.” America is in George Orwell’s never ending war, which in reality is a war on its own citizens to maintain an illegitimate and corrupt system that no longer enjoys the confidence and support of a vast majority of the people.  The American system does this by keeping the populace in constant fear.

Several years ago it was high-speed police car chases that was killing and injuring thousands of citizens every year in car crashes when police were chasing suspected criminals. That number got so high, police departments changed tactics. Now with the militarization of the police with see a comparable situation, more and more people are dying.  When compared with other nations, the United States no longer rates as a 1st world nation when it comes to citizens being murdered by police.

It is a fact that the United States incarcerates more people than the rest of the world’s nations combined, this is especially the case involving non-violent and victimless crimes, and in most cases the person jailed is BOTH the so-called perpetrator and the victim, meaning America will prosecute a person for committing a crime against himself or herself and in the confides of a person’s own dwelling.

The fact is federal, state, and local governments use the criminal justice system as a heavy handed weapon against people and almost always people who have no financial resources to mount a defense against the onslaught of the government which has endless resources paid for by the very people who the government targets.  This means the American people actually pay for their own repression.  This is akin to a rape victim paying the rapist for the assault. The Justice Department noted that the Ferguson Police Department was using “Law Enforcement for Revenue Enhancement”, the fact is this practice has NOT been limited to the small city of Ferguson, but is pervasive all over the United States especially in rural America where cash strapped towns see the poor and middle class s revenue sources and Police as the preverbal “Sheriff of Nottingham”.

In the Federal System alone, 98 percent of all cases are settled via the so called “Plea Bargain System”, which is actually a process laden with threats, extortion, and intimidation whereby a person with very limited resources is charged many times over what he or she was arrested for and threatened if they do not ‘plead guilty”, they will face decades in prison and hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines and possibly loss of children.

Over 2 million persons in US prisons are incarcerated as a result of so called ‘Plea Bargains”.  As an example, the average sentence for a person who agreed to a Plea Bargain, has an average sentence of five years, whereas the person who exercises their “constitutional right” and goes through a jury trial, with many additional charges, has an average sentence of 16 years.  American Juries are festooned with the same Low Information Voters that believe if a person is accused, they are guilty, at least until the System comes down on them or their loved ones.  The American Criminal Justice System prays on the poor, disabled, and the mentally ill without regard for circumstance.  The Roman games of the coliseum are alive and well in the United States.

Another “institutional” tool is the use of “programs” disguised as “compassion”. In Tulare County, California, for example (whose practices are currently being reviewed by the US Justice Dept.) some “defendants may be fortunate to be “accepted” into a “mental health court program”.  A program that is held weekly absent psychiatric professionals or input.  This “program” is presided over by a Judge that recently was charged and is facing removal from office with misconduct with his Clerk.

This Tulare County California Judge uses the Tulare Jail instead of the local mental hospital as a holding facility for mentally ill persons.  A county jail where the mentally ill are denied sufficient food, and placed in mold infested cells and are denied their mental health medication, all issues currently being reviewed the US Justice Department, likely as a result of Ferguson.  This “program” has placed mentally Ill persons in non-psychiatric residential programs (isolated from family and denied religious observance) based on small town patronage (sole source contracts) where mental patients have had to wait up to 4-weeks for medication and to see psychiatric physicians.  This has resulted in documented suicide attempts, all of which have been covered up as noted in complaints to the US Justice Dept.

In Tulare County as in Ferguson, New York City and elsewhere, the Criminal Justice System has been weaponized to keep citizens “in line” and in fear of speaking out and fully exercising their “rights”.  Once people are in the US criminal justice system they almost never exit, as noted in the Ferguson Report.  American in the criminal justice system find themselves in an endless mill that includes excessive and endless fines and fees, private contracts, most of which are sole source as in the case in Tulare County where many so called “non-profits” provide ancillary “court mandated services” and are managed by friends and family of law enforcement and court personnel most of which lack qualifications but enjoy “official protection”.

This “system” provides no grievance venue for people.  A prime example of the system many people face is one case currently in the Federal Courts in Fresno, California.  A Tulare County Deputy Sheriff wrote an erroneous Report to assure the placement of a child with a sex offender (a friend of the Deputy Sheriff).  The Report was written to substantiate another Report by a contracted Non-Profit which was employed by the court to “review” the case.  The case worker for the nonprofit was the deputy sheriff’s wife.  This is indicative of the US Criminal Justice System and the standard of practice in locations like Tulare County, California.

The American “criminal justice” system is designed to keep people ‘in line” and economically destitute and provide additional revenue sources in addition to taxation to keep government flush with revenue (as was the case with Ferguson) and their contracted  “non-profits” profitable.  The ultimate objective of the police and judicial system in the United States is to instill fear in the people.  This has been effective.  Fear of the police and judicial system ranks above fear of real criminals and the US Internal Revenue Service (tax collecting agency).   Most incredible is the fact that Americans fund the institutions which act as the weapons for their repression and in so doing, embrace their rapist.
