Plight of Bushmen in Botswana

In this edition of Africa Today, we will address the plight of Bushmen (San people), who are being kept afar from their ancestral land, and whose rights are reportedly being violated in Botswana.

The San people who have lived in the Central Kalahari belt for thousands of years, continue to be persecuted by their government for their traditional hunting game, something which the government claims is harming the wild life.

This is while reports say the government in Botswana is harming the wildlife in the area by conducting mining operations and tourism activities.
